Introduction to The First Hope

Killing This Addiction Is Killing Me was established today, March 24, 2010, as part of The First Hope organization.

The First Hope is a nonprofit, volunteer organization established to offer hope, understanding, and love to those suffering from depression, self-mutilation, eating disorders, or any other form of self-injury or criticism.

The First Hope is here for you, composed of members who understand what it feels like. We have struggled or witnessed the struggles of friends and loved ones going through what you are going through, feeling things similar to what you are feeling. We are here to offer hope, to give you the feeling you want and need.

You are special, each and every one of you. Whether you are just curious, whether you have been directed here by friends, or whether you too need someone, something to talk to, to be underrstood, to feel.

Please follow us, feel free to post comments, or simply stay in the shadows. The more support we have, the more voices we hear, the more people we can reach - this furthers our mission and goal, to reach out to everyone who deserves and needs to know that they matter, that they are loved, important, and they have a purpose.
